The Open workshop Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at 9:30am in each month at the Guild's Workshop. The Open workshop group combines with the Toymakers and has both weekend and evening meetings during the working week. This group is aimed at working people who cannot attend any of our week day daytime meetings. Members of the Open workshop group are typically busy on the widest range of projects including furniture, toys, jewelery, musical instruments etc as well as all the other group interests; turning, carving and scroll saw work.
Meetings each month
Several Open Workshop Group meetings are held every month. The program for meetings listed in our Guild Brochure . The group suits people who are still employed and working. We have men and women of all ages regularly attending each week.
Well equipped workshop
Our workshop is well setup with excellent woodworking equipment. This is kept in good operating order by our workshop maintenance officer. Group leaders are always present to ensure equipment is used safely and to provide advice and instruction to those wanting to do something new.
Demonstrations
Group leaders often include a training element to group meetings to help our members build their skill levels.
